Location
Helmsdale is an ideal stopping off point on the A9 if you are travelling between Inverness (70 miles) and John o'Groats (52 miles). It is on the main Land's End to John o'Groats route which is popular with cyclists and walkers. The hostel is also convenient if you are travelling to Orkney.

Arriving by bus:
Walk up the slope for 100 metres. The Hostel is after the old church on your left. (200 metres)

Arriving by train:
Cross over the old bridge, turn right along Dunrobin Street, then left up up Stafford Street. The Hostel is at the top of the slope on the left (half a mile).
